Johanna Peters has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. She began her teaching career on the west coast in 2012, first teaching preschool and then working her way up to teaching kindergarten through grade 7 in an eclectic mixed-grade program on Salt Spring Island. She has had a passion for music all her life and grew up singing in choirs, taking piano and voice lessons, and performing in plays and musicals. As an adult, she has continued to explore music in new ways, teaching music to families and children of all ages, learning new instruments, exploring music from around the world, and joining a female musical trio and song-writing collective. Outside of music, her other loves include creative writing, spending time in nature, and her four-legged companions, Nina the cat and Stellar the horse.
