Paige Dux graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Bachelor of Education, specializing in Secondary Mathematics. Ms. Dux is a former student of CGCS and is looking forward to giving back to the school as a Grade 9 Math and Science educator. With a background in mathematics, Ms. Dux is looking forward to creating a positive atmosphere by sharing her own love and enthusiasm for the subject. She is passionate about inquiry-based learning and strives to create a classroom environment where students are encouraged to advocate for themselves and view mistakes as opportunities for growth. A quote she often thinks of is “There is always a solution” which she knows will guide her students to tackle challenges with confidence and see mistakes as part of the learning process. Outside of teaching, Ms. Dux has an extensive background in professional dance as well as having been an active member of the UofC Golf Team for 3 years. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, and skiing.
