Cassandra Godau graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in environmental science, specializing in physical geography and obtained her Bachelor of Education from St. Mary’s University. Prior to becoming an educator, Ms. Godau worked as an environmental analyst for a consulting company and she loves to apply her experience in the field with hands-on inquiry-based science projects. Ms. Godau has experience in teaching division 2 and 3 students and loves running the school's science fair. She believes in building positive cultures of school belonging where all students can learn, strengthen their character, their voice, and be their authentic selves. Her goal is to activate within children the desire, will, and joy that comes from being the authors of their own learning. In her spare time, you can often find Ms. Godau reading a good fantasy novel, rock climbing or obsessing over her house plants.
