Mallory Vanderveen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary, with a major in physical anthropology and a minor in Canadian history. She also has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, majoring in social studies and minoring in early childhood. Ms. Vanderveen has taught a variety of grades from kindergarten to grade 8 as an elementary generalist, junior high humanities teacher, and options teacher (art, music, and French). Ms. Vanderveen believes in facilitating student learning through independent and collaborative work. She provides space for creative exploration, uses an inquiry based approach to learning, and aims to support students to develop effective individualized work habits and study skills. Ms. Vanderveen loves to spend time exploring, exercising, and enjoying downtime with her friends, family, and her dog Daisy!
